Tram of Remembrance

The Tram of Remembrance is a historical and tourist monument that evokes the era when trams were an essential part of urban transport in Veracruz. During much of the 20th century, trams ran through the streets of the historic center and connected different areas of the city, becoming a daily symbol of port life. With the modernization of transport, this system disappeared, but one of the old cars was preserved as a tribute to that stage of Veracruz's urban development. Currently, the tram functions as a tangible reminder of the port's history and the transformation of its mobility and urban landscape.
