Leyes de Reforma Cultural Center
This historical site is directly linked to the Reform Laws era and the government of Benito Juárez during the Reform War (1858-1861). In these houses of the port of Veracruz, the liberal government was temporarily established, and from here fundamental laws for the separation of Church and State were promulgated, such as the Juárez Law, the Lerdo Law, and the nationalization of ecclesiastical property. The property was recently restored and converted into a cultural center dedicated to preserving the historical memory of Mexican liberalism and Juárez's stay in Veracruz. It was officially inaugurated as a cultural center in 2024.
