Casa Principal Cultural Center
Casa Principal is one of the oldest colonial buildings in the historic center of Veracruz. During the viceregal era it functioned as a residence and office for Spanish merchants linked to the port, taking advantage of the intense mercantile activity of the city. Over time the property had different administrative and commercial uses until it became a cultural space managed by the Veracruz Institute of Culture. Today it is mainly dedicated to contemporary art exhibitions, photography, painting, and cultural activities, preserving much of its historical architecture.
