Benito Juárez House

Benito Juárez House

This house is one of the most important historical sites related to Benito Juárez in Veracruz. During the Reform War, Juárez and part of his cabinet occupied nearby properties in the port while defending the liberal government against the conservative movement. The house was restored to function as a historical and cultural site, displaying documents, objects, and aspects of the political life of that era. It is part of the historical complex related to the Reform Laws and helps to understand the strategic role that Veracruz played as the provisional capital of Mexico during the 19th-century conflict.
