Callejón and Plazuela de la Lagunilla

It is the only street in Veracruz that has preserved its name for more than 400 years. In the 17th century, the Tenoya stream passed through this site, forming a small lagoon that prevented the construction of homes. After the course was modified during the construction of the wall, the place remained as a small plaza. It stands out for its architecture similar to the alleys of Havana, the statue of Benny Moré, and for having been the setting for the film Tierra Brava in 1938.
